Regional Services

Regional Councils of Governments provide a framework and logical forum for inter-municipal cooperation, which may take the form of shared services, shared staffing, or cooperative purchasing. The role of SCCOG to provide and coordinate shared municipal services may increase if municipal finances continue to be constrained by cuts to State funding. Typically, regional services and programs are more cost-effective and adaptive than individually funded municipal services.
